Is It Excusable?

Out of all of the designs I have created, I think this one is the staff's favorite. This story was an editorial discussing our school's new tardy policy and its negative consequences. Because of that, I decided to use the colors of the hall passes given out to tardy students, magenta and yellow, in the design. The editorial board concluded that the current system places too many unnecessary restrictions and stress on students over perfect attendance, and I wanted to convey that sense of being restricted by time, while still keeping the design light-hearted and approachable, so I added many clocks and little figures being overwhelmed by it.
