Iowa City Pride was my first assignment of my senior year on the newspaper staff, and looking back, it was a great way to start off. Despite being nearly crushed by the stage and the crowd while trying to take this photo and many others, the experience of being surrounded by so much pure joy and excitement was worth the pain in my ribs.
